Refund and Cancellation Policy

This Policy explains when Engagements may be cancelled and refunds issued. Because Engagements are contracts between Clients and Freelancers, refunds primarily depend on their agreement and the escrow/dispute rules.

1. Cancellation Before Work Begins

If an Engagement is cancelled by mutual agreement before any work is delivered, escrowed funds are returned to the Client. Because Ivynovahire charges no service fee, no service fee is deducted; any third-party payment charges are as described in the Fees Policy.

2. Cancellation After Work Begins

Where work has partly been delivered, the parties should agree a fair split of escrowed funds for work completed. If they cannot agree, either party may open a dispute under the Dispute Resolution Policy.

3. Non-Delivery or Defective Work

If a Freelancer fails to deliver, or delivers work that materially fails to meet the agreed scope, the Client may seek a refund through the dispute process, which considers the evidence and the agreed deliverables.

4. Withdrawal Fee

The 10% withdrawal fee applies only to amounts a Freelancer actually withdraws and is not charged on funds refunded to a Client before withdrawal. Consumer users may have additional statutory rights that this Policy does not limit.
