Intellectual Property & Copyright Policy

1. Ownership of Work Product

Unless a Client and Freelancer agree otherwise in writing within their Engagement, and subject to full payment, ownership of the final deliverables (the “work product”) transfers to the Client on release of payment. Freelancers retain rights to their pre-existing materials, tools and general know-how, and may grant a licence to those where needed to use the deliverable.

2. Freelancer Warranties

Freelancers warrant that their deliverables are original or properly licensed, do not infringe third-party rights, and that they have authority to transfer or license them as agreed.

3. Respect for Third-Party Rights

Users must not upload, sell or deliver content that infringes copyright, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, or other rights.

4. Copyright Complaints (Notice-and-Takedown)

If you believe content on the Platform infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent including: your contact details; identification of the work and the infringing material (with its location); a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorised; a statement that the information is accurate; and your signature. We will review and may remove content and, for repeat infringers, terminate accounts. Affected Users may submit a counter-notice.
